Hi Bao started with a vision to create an Asian food brand that was different from the ordinary.
Where It All Began
Our journey began in Sector V, Kolkata, where we spent over two and a half years building the brand, understanding our customers and learning what it takes to create food that people genuinely come back for.
Bigger. Bolder. Better.
That journey shaped Hi Bao. When we returned, we came back bigger, bolder and with an even more exciting menu at Axis Mall, New Town.
More Than Just Bao
What started with our signature Bao and Dim Sum evolved into a much wider Asian food experience — from Ramen and Rice Bowls to Korean starters, Chinese favourites and an extensive beverage menu.

Today, Hi Bao continues to evolve while staying true to the idea with which it began.
The Bao That Started It All
The name Hi Bao comes from the food that started our journey — Bao.
But our Bao isn’t just another Bao.
No Maida Bao
We consciously avoid maida in our Bao and use Red Lotus Flour as one of our key ingredients.
Our Dim Sum follows the same philosophy, using the appropriate starch-based wrappers to create the texture and bite our customers love.
For us, it’s not about following a trend.It’s about creating food differently.
